Chateau Chambert, situated in Floressas, Cahors, has a rich history dating back to the 10th century. The estate's vineyards, once owned by notable figures like the Lords of Floressas, were abandoned until 1973 when Marc Delgoulet revived them through organic and biodynamic farming. In 2007, Philippe Lejeune took ownership, continuing the commitment to sustainable practices. With 65 hectares of vineyards at an altitude of 300 meters, Château Chambert grows Malbec, Merlot, and Chardonnay in diverse soils. The wine, a powerful and balanced expression, showcases dark color, refined fruit aromas, and silky tannins. Philippe's highland cattle add a charming touch, grazing the vineyards post-harvest.

Tasting Notes

Dark and intense in colour, the 2016 is very fruit forward with a great elegance. The nose has refined ripe fruit aromas of blueberry and violet. On the palate, intense fruit flavours are melded with gentle notes of spice from French oak, balanced by a lively acidity and silky, well-rounded tannins.
