This 100% Montepulciano wine comes from certified-biodynamic estate vines that are about 25 years old. The grapes are harvested manually and destemmed without crushing. They undergo spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and no temperature control in concrete tanks, with a maceration period of about 4 days. The wine is aged in concrete for 10-11 months and is bottled without fining, filtration, or added sulfur, though a small amount is used during racking. Classified as Vino Rosso, it carries only the geographical indicator "L.A.," referring to Loreto Apruntino, the winery's historic home community in Abruzzo.
