Guillaume and Sarah Glantenay, the sixth generation of their winemaking family, have infused new vitality into Domaine Glantenay, following in the footsteps of their father, Pierre. Taking over in 2013, Guillaume emphasizes elegance, purity of fruit, and minimal intervention. Their Bourgogne Pinot Noir, fermented and aged in stainless steel, exudes aromatic and supple qualities. The Pommard displays attractive perfumes, soft tannins, and restrained oak. The Volnay 1er Cru 'Les Santenots' elevates the experience, featuring a beautifully scented bouquet, rose petal hints, balanced tannins, and judicious oak. Expanding into Meursault, the 'Les Santenots' showcases clean notes of white flowers, citrus, and harmonious oak. The Aligoté Vieilles Vignes, sourced from 60-year-old vines near Volnay, offers green apple, citrus, and floral tones. Guillaume's Chambolle-Musigny captivates with red fruit, rose petals, and supple tannins. The Volnay, a blend from eight parcels, reveals delicate violet and blackcurrant flavors, complemented by subtle toast from oak aging. Domaine Glantenay, under Guillaume's guidance, stands as one of Burgundy's most promising and dynamic wineries.
