Thompson Bros Aultmore 2009 15 Year Old Thompson Bros

This 15-year-old Aultmore, bottled by the Thompson Bros. in Dornoch, was fully matured in red wine casks, resulting in an exceptionally dry and fruity flavor. The label design pays homage to a well-known Scottish beverage, which we think you’ll recognize! On the nose, you'll find pomegranate, plum sauce, strawberry yogurt, lime peel, Spanish oranges, desiccated coconut, molasses, and maraschino. The palate brings a delightful mix of sweet mint, red berries (cranberries, wild strawberries, brambles), cinnamon, umeshu, grapes, cocoa, and sweet blackcurrant. The finish is pleasantly dry, with a slightly dusty character, complemented by notes of coconut oil and kuemmerling.
