Hailing from Montecchio Emilia in Emilia-Romagna, Italy, Roberto Maestri crafts a stunning sparkling rosato from Lambrusco Salamino. The grapes undergo only a brief one-night infusion with their skins, resulting in a light and bright wine boasting a beautiful pink hue. After the initial fermentation in vat, the wine is transferred to the bottle with a touch of must for the second fermentation. The outcome is a vibrant, cloudy sparkling wine that delights the senses with flavors of blood orange, earth, and bitter herbs.

Working organically on five hectares of vineyards situated on clay-gravel soils, Roberto emphasizes the use of wild yeasts and employs traditional methods for the second fermentation in the bottle. His wines, though deceptively simple, are consistently delicious, designed with a focus on enjoying good food and good times. Offering genuine refreshment, they pair seamlessly with salumi or a flavorful cheese, making them the go-to choice to kick off a meal.
