Ardnamurchan Madeira Cask Release

This highly anticipated Ardnamurchan release is a blend of bourbon-matured malt from early 2018, with a 60/40 split of unpeated to peated spirit. Re-racked into Madeira casks for over two years, it was vatted just before reaching seven years old and bottled at 52% ABV, yielding under 19,000 bottles. As always, it's non-chill filtered and naturally coloured. On the nose, expect cocoa powder, stewed plums, sugared almonds, nutmeg, and red currants. The palate delivers cinnamon sweets, salted trail mix with chocolate chips, toffee apple, and strawberries with black pepper, leading to a medium-weight, slightly drying finish with long, dusty complexity.
