Domaine Bousquet Fortified Malbec is a distinctive dessert wine from the Uco Valley in Mendoza, Argentina. Crafted from organic Malbec grapes grown at high altitudes, this fortified wine offers a rich and complex profile. The production process includes a four-month maceration to extract maximum flavor from the grape skins, resulting in layers of plum, chocolate, coffee, caramel, spice, and marmalade notes.

With an alcohol content of 17%, it is less intense than traditional Ports, making it a versatile choice for pairing with various desserts or cheeses.

Tasting Notes

A four month-long maceration ensures that the maximum amount of flavour has been extracted from the skins of the Malbec grapes. Good natural acidity is an essential factor in quality sweet wines and there’s just the right amount here to keep in check the layers of plum fruits, chocolate, coffee, caramel, spice and marmalade flavours you’ll find here. A delicious way to end dinner, serve it at no more than 15°c.
