Daftmill 2011 13 Year Old Oloroso Butt

Royal Mile Whiskies is proud to present the exclusive Daftmill Single Sherry Cask, filled on December 18th, 2011, and bottled in January 2025. This 13-year-old whisky was carefully selected by their buyers in August 2024 from a range of sherry casks, with Cask #96 standing out for its perfect balance of distillery character and sherry influence. The whisky offers complex aromas of honey, dark chocolate, rye spice, nutty notes, and stone fruits, making it a dram with plenty to say.

This release marks their second single cask exclusive with Daftmill, following the success of their 2006 first-fill bourbon cask release. Royal Mile Whiskies has long been a fan of Daftmill and the Cuthbert family's farm-to-bottle ethos, which they were first introduced to during a visit to the distillery. Now, they're delighted to share this exceptional cask with whisky enthusiasts.

Tasting Notes: The nose opens with fresh stone fruits, caramel, cocoa, and a hint of wax, followed by lingering chocolate box aromas. On the palate, an elegant, chewy texture reveals oranges, apricots, and rye spice, evolving into chestnut honey and raisins. The finish continues with spice and floral notes, leading to a delightful blend of dark chocolate and honey-drenched stone fruits.
