De La Senne Brett Porter

The Brett Porter is inspired by the ancient London Porters, superstar beers of the 1800s, which were aged in immense wooden vats where Brettanomyces yeasts thrived. It has not been barrel-aged, but co-fermented with their house Brettanomyces, and brewed using magnificent English specialty malts.

Its appearance is black with a ruby hue. The dark beige head is fine and persistent. Brettanomyces dominates the aroma, imparting a vinous character with ripe cherries reminiscent of old kirsch, and a hint of leather. A touch of roasted and lightly smoked notes complete the picture.

These aromas are mirrored on the palate, enhanced by hints of mocha, cocoa powder, and prunes.
