Domaine des Tuileries Clos du Chateau 2018

This wine has a stunning nose, with lovely complexity and depth, featuring a gorgeous sweet nutty note. The initial sip is centered, then bursts into an explosion of richness and mouth-filling grip, with an incredible combination of pine nut, sea salt, and a hint of crunchy caramel. This 2018 vintage is brilliant, with so much happening—beautifully layered, rich, and complex. There’s an abundance of exotic fruit accompanied by an amazing burst of salinity. As the wine opens up, the nutty elements take center stage, developing into a dark richness with an incredible sweet length.

Bryan took over his family's Maison, Marx-Coutelas & Fils, in 2017. A few years later, he selected 1.5 hectares from their 7-hectare holdings in Venteuil to start his own side project, aiming to create a completely different style of cuvée. The result is Domaine des Tuileries, where each wine is oak vinified and represents distinct profiles from the estate, with a particular focus on the beauty that can be drawn from individual barrels. For a first release, they are staggering!
