Domaine Pignier Cremant de Jura Brut Nature

The Crémant du Jura Brut Nature from Domaine Pignier is a finely made méthode-classique sparkling wine from the Jura region of eastern France, crafted biodynamically on clay-limestone and marl soils. 

In the glass it pours a bright, pale straw-yellow with elegant, persistent fine bubbles; on the nose there are fresh florals (white blossom, acacia/elderflower), orchard fruit (green apple, pear), subtle citrus and light brioche or toast from lees ageing. 

On the palate the wine is crisp and energetic, with vibrant acidity, delicate mineral and chalky notes reflecting the Jura terroir, a faint yeasty/spicy undercurrent and a clean, dry finish, well-suited as an aperitif or to accompany seafood, light fish dishes or fresh cheeses.
