Enate Syrah- Shiraz

Enate Syrah-Shiraz, crafted by the esteemed Enate winery in Salas Altas, falls under the D.O. Somontano designation. Founded in 1991, Enate has swiftly emerged as a cornerstone in the Spanish wine landscape, blending a passion for tradition with contemporary winemaking techniques. Spanning around 500 hectares across Salas Altas, Salas Bajas, Cregenzán, and Basbastro, their vineyards boast fertile limestone soil at an altitude of approximately 600 meters. The continental climate, characterized by frigid winters and scorching summers, contributes to the unique terroir. Enate's commitment to the fusion of wine and art is evident, with each bottle adorned with the work of renowned artists, specially created for the winery. Enate Syrah-Shiraz, a red wine, is meticulously crafted from Syrah grapes sourced from the Alcanetos and Cregenzán valley vineyards. Hand-harvested grapes undergo fermentation in small, temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 26°C. After fermentation and délestage, the wine ages in new European and American oak barrels for 16 months, undergoing malolactic fermentation. Before bottling, the wine naturally stabilizes in stainless steel tanks, showcasing Enate's commitment to excellence in winemaking.
