Espera Curtimenta 2022

Espera Curtimenta 2022 is an orange wine crafted by Espera Wines, a small, family-run project in the Alcobaça region of Lisbon, Portugal. The name "Espera" translates to "wait," reflecting the winemaking philosophy of patience and connection to nature. 

This wine is made from Bical and Arinto grapes, handpicked and destemmed before undergoing a soft press. It ferments spontaneously without temperature control for 21 days, allowing the skins and seeds to remain in contact with the juice, a process known as skin maceration. This technique imparts the wine with its characteristic amber color and enhances its texture and flavor complexity. 

The resulting wine exhibits a light amber hue with mineral characteristics. On the nose, it offers aromas of blossoms, apricot, and orange peel. The palate is intense and fresh, with a crisp texture and a pleasant finish.
