Le Puy 2020 VDF “Emilien”

Chateau Le Puy is located on the rocky plateau of St-Emilion, where they have been practicing organic farming since the 1600s and have been certified Biodynamic since 1988. This wine is a true reflection of St-Emilion, offering elegant aromas of ripe blackcurrant and redcurrant, complemented by nutty roasted almond notes and occasional hints of mushroom. Le Puy combines grace with a deep sense of history, making it a perfect addition to your table. It pairs beautifully with slow-roasted meat, roast turkey, or roast beef.

The vineyard's terroir consists of clay-silt with a clay-limestone substrate on St-Emilion's rocky plateau, with vines averaging 50 years old. The grapes are destemmed before fermentation in a cement tank, followed by 12 months of aging in oak vats (foudre) and an additional 12 months in oak barrels. A small amount of sulfur is added at bottling. The wine is a dry, red Merlot blend from Bordeaux, with an alcohol content of 13.00%.
