With some bottle ageing, this 2022 packs a punch. Nerello Mascalese is Sicily’s star variety and usually grown around the foot of Mount Etna. These mineral-rich volcanic soils help the vines produce grapes that are rich in both complex minerals and a fine acidity. This exciting red has smoky minerality with rich red cherry fruit and a nimble body that dances along the palate. This wine’s colourful label pays homage to the Sicilian puppet opera, a historical storytelling tradition in Sicily.
