Trediberri Barbera d'Alba
Trediberri Barbera d'Alba
14% / 75cl
The grapes for this wine come from the Roero area and our vineyards around the hamlet of Torriglione, near the winery. Barbera is the only variety we consistently apply a green harvest to, reducing yields. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in concrete and/or stainless steel over 12-15 days, followed by malolactic fermentation in the same vessels. Cold stabilization occurs outdoors or in conditioned steel tanks. Afterward, the wine ages for several months in concrete and steel before bottling, typically in April-May of the year following the harvest.
This Barbera is distinct due to the absence of oak aging, which gives it bright acidity and higher alcohol levels compared to other Trediberri wines. It has a full body and showcases a fruity character rather than refined elegance. It pairs perfectly with traditional Bollito misto.
