Vincent Dauvissat, Irancy 2023

This rare red from Vincent Dauvissat comes from a tiny 0.6 ha parcel in the northern Burgundy appellation of Irancy, where vines grow on clay-limestone soils reminiscent of nearby Chablis. Biodynamically-influenced and meticulously made, the 2023 vintage is crafted mainly from Pinot Noir (with a traditional touch of César possible), delivering purity and terroir-driven character.

Aromatically, it opens with fresh red cherries, raspberries and a subtle note of peppery spice. The palate is structured yet elegant, fine-tannined and lifted by bright acidity, with a clean finish showcasing mineral tension and youthful poise. Drink now with gentle decanting, or cellar for five to ten years to reveal further complexity.
