About the Brewery.

Three Barrels occupies the sort of position many drinks brands spend decades trying to achieve. It is familiar enough that most people have seen it somewhere, yet old enough to carry genuine history rather than invented heritage.

Dating back to the early nineteenth century, the French brandy has remained a long-standing fixture in the UK market for generations. The name comes from the distinctive three-barrel symbol found on the label, which has become one of the most recognisable parts of the brand itself.

Produced from French white grapes and matured in oak, the style leans towards smoothness and accessibility rather than intense complexity. Expect dried fruit, vanilla, almond, gentle spice and soft oak character. The VSOP remains the flagship expression and is often used both for sipping and mixing.

Part of the appeal is straightforward reliability. Three Barrels does not try to reinvent brandy or position itself as a rare collector’s item. It simply delivers a mellow, approachable style that has remained popular for decades.

Sometimes there is value in drinks that understand exactly what they are supposed to be.
