Kilkerran 8 Year Old Bourbon 2026

Kilkerran 8 Year Old Cask Strength Bourbon Cask is an annual limited release from Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown, one of Scotland’s historic whisky regions. Bottled in its 2026 edition at cask strength (57.7% ABV) after spending its full eight-year maturation in ex-bourbon barrels, it’s presented with natural colour and no chill filtration, staying true to the distillery’s traditional craft ethos.

On the nose there’s a rich, dessert-like sweetness, butterscotch, custard creams, apple butter and poached pear, that gives way to a creamy palate of shortbread crust, smooth caramel chocolate, gooseberry and white grape, alongside subtle cigar box smoke and sandalwood notes. The finish brings intriguing touches of green peppercorn, honeydew melon and a light ashy whisper, reflecting the balance of fruit, oak and Campbeltown’s coastal influence.
