Collection: Staff Picks

This is where we get to be a little selfish. The bottles in our Staff Picks collection aren't chosen because they're new, expensive or fashionable. They're simply the drinks we keep coming back to ourselves. Some are everyday favourites that regularly find their way home after a shift, while others are special bottles we'd happily open for friends and family. If you've ever asked one of us, "What would you buy?", this collection is the answer.

Every recommendation comes with a short note from the member of the team who picked it, whether that's Pete, Aden, Tommy or someone else behind the counter. Sometimes it's because a beer is still the benchmark for its style. Sometimes it's incredible value. Sometimes it's just a bottle we've genuinely enjoyed so much that we can't stop talking about it. There isn't a formula, and that's exactly the point.

You'll find everything from crisp lagers and classic Belgian beers to fine wine, cider, whisky and spirits. Some bottles cost less than £15, others are once-in-a-while treats, but they've all earned their place for the same reason: we'd happily recommend them without hesitation. As the shop changes, so do our favourites, so don't be surprised if this collection looks a little different every time you visit.
