We're Talking Whisky!

Whisky is one of the world's most diverse spirits, with every country, distillery and cask bringing something different to the glass. Scotland remains its spiritual home, producing everything from smoky Islay malts and rich Highland drams to elegant Speyside whiskies and coastal island styles. Beyond Scotland, countries such as Ireland, Japan, the United States and England are making outstanding whiskies of their own, each shaped by local traditions, grains and ageing techniques.

The flavour of a whisky is influenced by every stage of its production, from the choice of grain and fermentation through to distillation and years spent maturing in oak. Bourbon, sherry, wine and other casks all leave their mark, creating flavours that range from orchard fruit, vanilla and honey to dark chocolate, dried fruit, spice and peat smoke.
