The Morrison family have deep roots in Scotch whisky through decades of involvement with Bowmore and independent bottling before launching their own modern portfolio including labels like Carn Mor, Old Perth and Mac-Talla. The focus leans heavily towards single casks, blended malts and regionally expressive Scotch rather than mass-market whisky production.
The whiskies themselves vary widely depending on the label, though there’s usually a common thread of sensible cask management and spirit-first thinking underneath. Old Perth balances rich sherried malt beautifully, while Mac-Talla explores smoky Islay styles without turning everything into pure peat assault.
