Wold Top Brewery

Some breweries can point directly from the brewhouse window to the fields where their ingredients were grown. Wold Top happens to be one of them.

Based on a family farm in the Yorkshire Wolds, the brewery was founded by the Tomlinson family and remains deeply connected to the surrounding agricultural landscape. Much of the barley used in brewing is grown on the farm itself, creating a genuine field-to-glass setup rather than a marketing slogan.

The beers cover traditional British styles alongside more modern releases. Golden ales, bitters, pale ales and stronger seasonal beers all feature throughout the range. There is a strong sense of Yorkshire brewing heritage running underneath everything.

Water also plays an important role. The brewery draws water from its own chalk aquifer beneath the farm, adding another layer of local character to the beers.

Wold Top feels closely tied to its surroundings in a way many breweries aspire to but rarely achieve. Farming and brewing remain part of the same story.
