We're Talking Haggis!

Haggis is rich, peppery and full of savoury flavour, making it a brilliant partner for a wide range of drinks. While a dram of whisky is the traditional choice, it's far from the only one. The right beer or wine can bring out the spices, balance the richness and make the whole meal even better.

Malty beers such as dark lagers, Scotch ales and rich amber ales work beautifully, while full-bodied reds with plenty of fruit can stand up to the pepper and spice without overwhelming the dish. If you're serving haggis with neeps and tatties, or as part of a full Burns Night supper, look for drinks with enough body to match the hearty flavours.
