Cantina Marilina Ruversa Nero d'Avola Elora DOC 2018

Cantina Marilina Ruversa Nero d’Avola Eloro DOC 2018 is an organic Sicilian red made from 100 % Nero d’Avola grown around Noto and the Eloro DOC in southeastern Sicily by the sister-run estate Cantina Marilina, which has farmed organically since its founding in 2001.

In the glass it is a dry, medium-bodied red with a bright ruby hue and expressive fruit and floral aromatics, plum, sour cherry, rose and violet, often with an intriguing note of juniper berry that comes through thanks to vinification in concrete. The palate tends to be dense and meaty yet balanced, with juicy red fruit layered with gentle spice and a touch of minerality from the limestone-rich soils.
