Cantina Marilina, located 45km south of Syracuse, is run by sisters Marilina and Federica Patern, who have farmed organically since establishing the vineyard in 2001. Their philosophy is simple: absolute respect for the earth. Sicily’s climate allows for minimal intervention winemaking, complemented by traditional techniques such as fermentation in concrete tanks, sun-drying grapes, and extended skin maceration for white wines.
