Champagne Herbert & Co. 1000% Meunier

This singular cuvée is crafted entirely from Pinot Meunier grapes grown in premier- and grand-cru parcels across the Montagne de Reims (in villages such as Rilly-la-Montagne, Ludes, Trois-Puits, Verzenay and Mailly). 

The base harvest is 2019 (with other recent bottlings showing 2020/2021) and the wine is vinified in 228-litre Burgundy barrels followed by at least three years ageing on the lees, resulting in a rich, textured expression of Meunier. 

On the nose you’ll find ripe orchard and stone-fruit (pear, mirabelle) mingled with woodland and smoky complexity, with the palate offering generous weight and juicy fruit framed by fine mousse and a mineral-driven extra-brut finish (dosage ~2.5 g/L).
