Chiemseer feels exactly like the sort of beer designed to be consumed beside a Bavarian lake while somebody nearby debates whether another pretzel technically counts as lunch. Brewed in Bavaria and named after the beautiful Chiemsee region, the brewery specialises in classic German lagers built around balance, drinkability and the deeply reassuring German refusal to overcomplicate perfectly good beer.

Stylistically, Chiemseer sticks closely to traditional Bavarian brewing culture. Crisp helles lagers, smooth wheat beers and clean refreshing pils styles all feature heavily, brewed with the sort of precision Germany approaches beer with generally. Which is to say: extremely seriously, but in a pleasant way.

The lagers tend to carry soft malt character, gentle bitterness and a clean finish that makes them absurdly easy to drink. No experimental marshmallow pastry sour IPA nonsense here. Just proper beer designed for beer gardens, food and people planning to remain functional afterwards.
