More About Domaine Buronfosse Cidre du Jura 2024

A lovely little detour from the usual Jura wines, this cider comes from Peggy and Jean-Pascal Buronfosse's own orchard in Rotalier, with around 300 trees and 15 different apple varieties. Made with the same care you'd expect from their wines, it captures a real sense of place, with the different apples bringing layers of character rather than straightforward sweetness.

Tart, crunchy apple leads the way, with a gentle natural fizz lifting the fresh fruit and keeping everything lively. There's a lovely balance of sharpness and orchard fruit, with a dry, refreshing finish that makes it particularly good alongside food. Try it with a cheeseboard, or pour it at the end of a meal when you'd usually reach for something from the Jura.
