A distinctive Greek white from the mountainous north of the Peloponnese, made from the native Roditis grape, a pink-skinned variety known for retaining freshness in warm climates. Sourced from high-altitude vineyards (around 850m) cooled by sea breezes, it’s organically farmed and fermented slowly with native yeasts before ageing on lees in stainless steel.

Fresh yet textural, it shows lemon blossom, citrus and orchard fruit with hints of bergamot, herbs and a subtle saline edge. The palate is creamy but vibrant, balancing bright acidity with mineral tension and a long, savoury finish.

Kyrenia

Style: Winery

Country: Greece

Region: Peloponnese

Kyrenia is one of those Greek whites that immediately reminds you Mediterranean wine doesn’t need loads of oak, alcohol or drama to be interesting. Produced by Tetramythos in the northern Peloponnese, the wine focuses on Roditis, a native pink-skinned Greek grape that somehow still remains weirdly underrated outside Greece.

The vineyards sit high up in the mountains above the Gulf of Corinth, with sea breezes keeping everything cool and fresh despite all the sunshine. That combination gives the wine this lovely mix of citrus, herbs, salty minerality and soft orchard fruit without becoming heavy or tropical.

There’s also a slightly savoury edge running through it that makes the whole thing ridiculously food-friendly. Seafood, grilled vegetables, salty cheeses, olive oil everywhere. Basically built for long lunches that accidentally become evening plans.

The winemaking stays very low-intervention too, so the wine keeps loads of natural texture and energy without becoming cloudy farmhouse chaos.

Greek white wine has become massively exciting over the last few years, and bottles like Kyrenia are a big reason why people keep falling down that rabbit hole.
