More About Lefebvre Barbar Honey Beer

A Belgian honey beer from Brasserie Lefebvre, brewed with 100% Belgian honey alongside barley and wheat. At 8%, it's a strong, full-bodied blonde ale, but the honey isn't simply there to make the beer sweet. The sugars ferment out during brewing, leaving a rounded texture and plenty of floral honey character.

The aroma brings honey, citrus, flowers and gentle spice, followed by soft malt and a touch of wheat. There's very little bitterness, with the honey giving the beer a smooth, warming character and a surprisingly dry finish. A Belgian classic that's closer to a strong honeyed ale than a dessert beer.
