More About Les Champs de l'Abbaye Cremant de Bourgogne Blanc

A Brut Nature Crémant de Bourgogne from Alain and Isabelle Hasard at Les Champs de l'Abbaye, a small organic domaine in the Côte Chalonnaise. They work with low yields, hand harvesting and indigenous yeasts, with the wine bottled without fining or filtration. The domaine has been making its Crémant since 2010.

It's a properly dry, mineral style of Crémant, with fine bubbles and plenty of freshness. Expect citrus and white fruit alongside floral, lightly toasty and earthy notes, with a distinctly saline finish. It's more about freshness and precision than a big, biscuity Champagne-like style.
