Primitivo Manduria Zolla

A classic expression of Primitivo di Manduria, from the sun-drenched Salento region in Puglia, southern Italy. This is one of the most reliable examples of the style: ripe, powerful and fruit-driven, with a polished modern finish.

In the glass it shows a deep ruby to almost inky purple colour, immediately signalling concentration. The nose is intensely aromatic with blackberry, black cherry and plum, layered with sweet spice, vanilla and a touch of cocoa or chocolate from oak ageing.

The palate is where Primitivo di Manduria really does its thing:
full-bodied, plush and velvety, with ripe dark fruit, soft tannins and a warming, slightly sweet-fruited core.
