A modern, dry Vinho Verde blend from the Minho region in northwest Portugal, combining Loureiro (aromatic lift) and Alvarinho (structure and depth). It comes from Quinta de Azevedo, an historic estate modernised by the Guedes family, known for producing clean, precise Atlantic whites.

In the glass it’s pale lemon with a slight green tint, immediately giving a sense of freshness. The nose is bright and expressive with lime zest, orange blossom, white peach and hints of tropical fruit like mango and melon.

On the palate it’s crisp, dry and very refreshing, showing citrus (lime, grapefruit), green apple and nectarine, with a subtle saline/mineral edge that reflects the Atlantic influence of the region.

Quinta De Azevedo

Style: Winery

Country: Portugal

Region: Vinho Verde

Vinho Verde still suffers occasionally from the idea that it is simply light, slightly fizzy summer wine. Quinta de Azevedo reminds people that the region is capable of considerably more depth and character than that.

Located in the heart of the Vinho Verde region, the estate focuses heavily on local grape varieties, particularly Loureiro. The grape thrives in the region’s cooler Atlantic climate, producing wines full of citrus, white blossom and fresh herbal notes with naturally bright acidity.

The wines tend to feel clean and energetic, but there is usually more texture underneath than people expect. Alongside the lemon and green apple character you often find a subtle saline edge and floral complexity that make the wines particularly versatile with food.

The Atlantic influence is central to everything here. Cooler temperatures and regular rainfall help preserve freshness, giving the wines a lifted, almost breezy quality that feels very distinctive.

Quinta de Azevedo captures the more refined side of Vinho Verde. Fresh and approachable, certainly, but with enough vineyard character to keep enthusiasts interested long after the first glass.
