A proper classic German Pilsner from the Black Forest, brewed by Badische Staatsbrauerei Rothaus, the same brewery behind Tannenzäpfle, but this is the straight, unbranded-style export Pils expression rather than the cult 33cl bottle.

It’s built on the standard German Pils foundation: Pilsner malt, Hallertau & Tettnang hops, pure spring water, and long cold fermentation.

In the glass it pours a bright pale gold with a tight white head, looking exactly like what a serious German lager should.
