We're Talking Chocolate Desserts!

Chocolate can be one of the trickiest foods to pair with drinks, but it's also one of the most rewarding. The key is matching the style of chocolate rather than treating it all the same. A silky milk chocolate bar, a rich chocolate torte and an intensely dark truffle each call for something a little different.

Dark beers and rich dessert wines are classic partners, but chocolate is just as happy alongside full-bodied reds, barrel-aged spirits or even a tart fruit beer that adds a refreshing contrast. The richer the chocolate, the more flavour your drink needs to bring, while sweeter styles generally work better than anything too dry or heavily tannic.
