Adobe Reserva Organic Chardonnay

Adobe Organic is part of Emiliana, one of the biggest names in organic and biodynamic winemaking in South America, but the project never really feels corporate or over-engineered. Based in Chile’s Rapel Valley, the focus has always been on farming in a way that works alongside the landscape rather than trying to overpower it. Organic vineyards, biodiversity, animals in the vineyards, natural pest control, all the things that sound slightly romantic until you realise they’re doing it seriously and at proper scale.

What’s interesting about Adobe is how approachable the whole range feels despite that philosophy sitting behind it. These aren’t wines made to lecture people about sustainability or natural wine. Instead, the emphasis is very much on making honest, expressive bottles that people actually want to drink. Everything feels bright, open, and fruit-led, with a freshness that keeps the wines feeling lively and easy-going rather than heavy or overworked.

There’s also something quite important about the role Emiliana played in Chilean wine generally. They were one of the first major producers in the country to commit seriously to organic farming, helping shift perceptions around what Chilean wine could look like beyond purely clean, export-driven styles. Adobe became a sort of gateway into that world for a lot of drinkers. Sustainable winemaking presented in a way that still feels relaxed, affordable, and properly drinkable.
