Domaine Duvert's Mâcon-Villages is a white wine from the Mâconnais region in southern Burgundy, France. Produced by the family-run Domaine Duvert, this wine is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes grown on clay-limestone soils. The estate has been practicing organic viticulture since 2017 and began vinifying its own wines in 2023 after previously supplying grapes to local cooperatives.

The wine presents a pale gold color with green tints. On the nose, it offers fresh aromas of citrus and white flowers. The palate is very fruity with a nice amount of acidity, leading to a lovely, fresh finish

Domaine Duvert

Style: Winery

Country: France

Region: Burgundy, Mâconnais

Saint-Véran and Pouilly-Fuissé have quietly become some of Burgundy’s best hunting grounds for people who love proper Chardonnay but would also quite like to remain financially stable afterwards. Domaine Duvert sits very comfortably in that sweet spot.

The family domaine is based in the Mâconnais, working mainly with Chardonnay from limestone-rich vineyards that give the wines loads of freshness and mineral tension underneath all the ripe orchard fruit. This is very much white Burgundy built around balance rather than massive oak and buttery excess.

The wines bring classic southern Burgundy character. Pear, citrus, white flowers, creamy texture and that lovely chalky edge that keeps everything feeling lifted and energetic. Even the richer bottlings stay clean and focused instead of drifting into heavy “liquid popcorn” territory.

There’s a calm confidence to the whole range too. No trendy winemaking gimmicks, no overcomplication and no desperate attempts to imitate more expensive Côte de Beaune wines. Just very solid Chardonnay made by people who clearly understand restraint.

A lot of Mâconnais producers are making brilliant wine right now, and Domaine Duvert is exactly the sort of bottle that reminds people why Burgundy became famous in the first place.
