More About Evil Twin Even More Hipsterish Hazy IPA

A collaboration between New York's Evil Twin Brewing and California's Monkish Brewing Co., Even More Hipsterish is a bold, juicy 7% hazy IPA that builds on the breweries' original Hipsterish Pale Ale with an extra helping of hops.

Double dry-hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Citra and Simcoe, it bursts with aromas of passion fruit, mango, grapefruit and white grape, alongside subtle notes of pine and gooseberry.

Soft and hazy on the palate, expect layers of ripe tropical fruit, juicy citrus and stone fruit. Nelson Sauvin brings its distinctive white wine and gooseberry character, Citra adds bright citrus flavours, while Simcoe contributes a touch of pine and resinous depth.

Full of flavour with a smooth mouthfeel and balanced bitterness, Even More Hipsterish is a seriously hop-forward New England IPA that delivers plenty of juicy character without losing its refreshing edge.

Evil Twin has spent years operating like the slightly chaotic art-school version of modern craft beer. Founded by Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø, brother of Mikkel from Mikkeller because apparently one globally influential Danish beer family wasn’t enough, the brewery built its reputation through bizarre beer names, huge flavours and a complete refusal to stay inside traditional brewing boundaries.

The range jumps all over the place stylistically, from massive imperial stouts loaded with coffee, marshmallow and pastry-level decadence through to aggressively hopped IPAs, tart fruited sours and experimental lagers. The beers often feel like someone had a slightly unhinged idea at 2am and then somehow managed to execute it properly by morning. Weirdly, that’s a huge part of the appeal.

Despite all the creativity and occasional madness, there’s serious brewing skill underneath everything Evil Twin does. Even the most ridiculous releases usually stay balanced and technically sharp rather than collapsing into sugary chaos. The brewery helped shape a huge amount of modern craft beer culture, especially around pastry stouts and heavily adjunct-driven beer, long before half the industry started putting breakfast cereal into fermenters for fun.

Evil Twin also carries that slightly self-aware sense of humour that modern beer desperately needs sometimes. The branding, beer names and overall attitude all feel playful without becoming exhausting. Beer should occasionally be a bit ridiculous honestly.
