More About Il Folle Grillo

Il Folle Grillo is a fresh, characterful white from Sicily, made from the island's native Grillo grape. The name Il Folle translates roughly as "the mad one", and this is an easy-going wine that brings plenty of sunny Mediterranean fruit without losing its freshness.

Aromas of exotic flowers lead into ripe citrus, nectarine and tropical fruit, with hints of lemon balm and yellow pear adding a little herbal freshness. The palate is bright and rounded, with lively citrus acidity balancing the ripe fruit and a clean, gently savoury finish.

A versatile bottle for seafood, grilled fish and lighter pasta dishes, particularly spaghetti alle vongole. Equally good chilled on its own.
