Kaiken Malbec Classico

A clean, fruit-driven Mendoza Malbec from Kaiken, the Argentine project founded by Chilean winemaker Aurelio Montes. Sourced from high-altitude vineyards in Agrelo (~950m in Mendoza), it’s designed to be a pure, approachable expression of the grape rather than a heavily oaked style.

In the glass it shows a deep violet-purple colour and delivers classic Malbec character: ripe plum, blackberry and black cherry, with supporting notes of chocolate, cocoa and gentle spice.

The palate is medium to full-bodied but very smooth, with soft, rounded tannins and a fresh line of acidity that keeps it from feeling heavy. Oak influence is subtle (partially aged in French oak), adding just a touch of structure and warmth rather than dominance.
