More About Magnify Brewing Blueberry Short Stack Breakfast DIPA

Blueberry Short Stack is an 8% DIPA and the next beer in our Breakfast inspired DIPA series. Brewed with lots of oats, lactose, loads of blueberry purée and maple syrup. Hopped with the classic combination of Citra and Mosaic. Who doesn’t love blueberry pancakes?

Meet the Producer, Magnify Brewing

Magnify Brewing

Style: Brewery

Magnify Brewing Company was founded in 2015 by New Jersey native Eric Ruta, inspired by the craft beer scene he discovered while studying in Maine. He wanted to bring some of that energy back home, building an independent brewery that could help grow New Jersey’s own beer culture. Based in Fairfield, Magnify has developed a reputation for flavour-packed releases, a constantly changing line-up and a willingness to push modern American beer styles in different directions.

Hoppy beers are at the heart of the range, particularly hazy IPAs, double IPAs and pale ales. Maine Event, a New England-style IPA brewed with Citra and Simcoe, pays tribute to the beer scene that inspired Ruta in the first place. Vine Shine, one of the brewery’s original flagship beers, takes a different approach, combining the piney, dank character associated with West Coast IPAs with the softer bitterness and drinkability of East Coast styles. The brewery also produces stronger, heavily hopped releases that explore newer hop varieties and concentrated hop products.

Magnify is equally comfortable making beers that lean into big, indulgent flavours. Its Mind Over Matter series includes rich milk stouts featuring ingredients such as chocolate, peanut butter and seasonal spices. The sour beer range can be just as playful, with fruit-packed releases combining ingredients such as peach, raspberry, mango and citrus. These are deliberately expressive beers, often taking inspiration from familiar desserts, sweets and drinks rather than sticking rigidly to traditional style boundaries.

There is more variety here than the big flavours might suggest. Magnify also brews American pilsners, seasonal Festbier, Belgian-inspired beers and lighter session IPAs. Baby Sitter, for example, delivers plenty of hop character at a more modest strength, while Refresh offers a crisp, approachable lager. Small-batch releases allow the team to experiment regularly, so the range changes throughout the year rather than revolving around a handful of permanent beers.

Magnify now operates from locations in Fairfield and Medford, New Jersey, giving the brewery a wider local presence while retaining its independent roots. Its approach reflects the modern American craft scene at its most adventurous, with punchy hops, inventive flavour combinations and plenty of variation between releases. Whether the beer in question is a juicy IPA, a dessert-inspired stout or a straightforward lager, Magnify puts flavour first and isn't afraid to have a bit of fun along the way.
