Pablo y Walter Malbec, Valle de Uco

Crafted from approximately 25-year-old vines in the rain-shadow of the Cordon del Plata mountains in the Uco Valley, this Malbec benefits from high altitude, clear skies and alluvial stony soils, ideal for expressive fruit and vibrant acidity. 

Vinified without oak ageing (fermented in stainless steel) to preserve purity and freshness of fruit, the wine shows a vivid deep red-almost-purple hue, and bursts with aromas of violet, red currant and cassis. The palate is smooth, rich yet bright, offering juicy dark-fruit flavours delivered with a Latin-style vibrancy and velvet‐like texture. 

Food-wise, it pairs exceptionally with grilled steak, chorizo churrasco with garlic and parsley, or grilled vegetables with chimichurri. The producers even suggest trying it slightly chilled to bring out a different dimension of the wine.
