Closet Brewing is one of the most distinctive newer breweries in Edinburgh’s independent beer scene, combining modern craft beer with a strong focus on vegan brewing, queer community and highly creative small-batch releases. Founded and run by two queer women in Edinburgh, the nano-brewery has quickly built a loyal following through approachable, flavour-driven beer and an identity that feels deeply connected to local independent culture.
The brewery produces a wide range of modern beer styles including hazy pale ale, IPA, sour beer, gose, lager, grisette and imperial stout, often incorporating playful concepts, striking artwork and experimental flavour combinations. Rather than focusing narrowly on one style, Closet Brewing approaches beer with an emphasis on fun, creativity and accessibility while maintaining strong technical brewing quality and freshness.
Vegan brewing sits at the centre of the brewery’s identity, with every beer produced entirely without animal-derived fining agents or adjuncts.
