Riesling is one of the world's great white grape varieties, capable of producing everything from bone-dry, mineral-driven wines to some of the finest sweet wines ever made. Germany is its spiritual home, but it also thrives in regions such as Alsace, Austria and Australia, where different climates and winemaking traditions bring out very different expressions.
