Domaine les Bruyères Crozes-Hermitage "Georges Reynaud" 2022

Domaine les Bruyères Crozes-Hermitage “Georges Reynaud” 2022 is a biodynamically farmed Syrah from the clay-limestone terraces and pebble-strewn soils around Beaumont-Monteux in the Northern Rhône. The grapes are hand-picked, destemmed and traditionally fermented in raw concrete vats with a 28–32-day maceration, and the wine is aged for about 12 months in a mix of older barriques and concrete, all designed to preserve purity of fruit and site expression.

The 2022 shows a deep, dark ruby colour with an expressive nose of black fruits (cassis, cherry), violets, spice and a hint of smoke, while the palate is rich yet balanced, offering juicy dark fruit, fine tannins, floral lift and a refreshing mineral drive typical of well-made Crozes-Hermitage. It’s approachable now but has structure to age, and pairs beautifully with charcuterie, grilled red meats or hearty, traditional dishes.
