Pursued by Bear’s “Bear Cub” Red is a plush, fruit-driven blend from Washington’s Columbia Valley. Crafted by actor Kyle MacLachlan’s winery, it features a Cabernet Sauvignon base, often supported by Merlot, Petit Verdot, or Syrah.

The wine pours a deep ruby with aromas of blackberry, boysenberry, and dark cherry, wrapped in notes of mocha, vanilla, rose petal, and baking spice. On the palate, it’s full-bodied and velvety, with polished tannins and a soft acidity that carries through flavors of cocoa, espresso, and ripe forest fruits. There’s a gentle oak influence that adds structure without overpowering the fruit. Smooth and modern in style, it’s accessible young but has the concentration to evolve over a few years. It pairs naturally with grilled beef, lamb, rich pastas, or hard cheeses, and is best served just below room temperature to highlight its layered character.
