California wine is full of family stories, but few run quite as long as the Scotto family. With roots stretching back to Italy before eventually settling in California, the family has spent generations involved in wine production and vineyard work.

Based around Lodi and other Californian vineyard regions, Scotto Cellars produces a broad range of wines covering everything from Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay to Old Vine Zinfandel and sparkling wine. The focus generally leans towards approachable, fruit-forward styles that remain easy to enjoy without requiring extensive study beforehand.

Lodi plays an important role in the range. Long associated with old-vine Zinfandel, the region combines warm sunshine with enough cooling influence to preserve balance and freshness. The resulting wines often show generous fruit, soft tannins and plenty of accessibility.
